Drag Sled

grey_equipment_140.JPGDrag sleds are typically used in accident investigation and reconstruction. Police, private investigators, and military can use them to determine the conditions that existed before an accident occurs. By measuring the length of a skid and the coefficient of friction of the road, a very good estimate of vehicle speed can be determined.

ETC has developed the worlds first Linux based dragsled. What this means to the end user is no more fussing about with client side software. Access to the dragsled it though a secure web connection. Allowing different users varying amounts of control over the device.

Some of the features include:

* Electronic measuring system completely replaces the spring scale
* On-board test data storage in open file format.
* Data transfer, analysis and reporting via web interface
* Hundreds of force measurements in every test
* Programmed to eliminate common static breakaway and velocity errors
* Hard-lock pull point connector eliminates pull angle error
* Interchangeable Industrial rubber skid pad as primary contact patch
