dinigroom_stack_sm_140.jpg ETC currently has an opening for a junior to intermediate embedded C/Linux programmer or engineer.

This is a one year contract position with opportunity for renewal. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable programming in 'C' for a Linux only environment operating at a shell level. Of importance is interprocess communication, socket programming, daemons and simple, clean, modular design. You will be directly involved in the embedded software design for new and innovative electronic devices and will have a good working knowledge of the Linux kernel.


Other:
- Experience programming device drivers an asset.
- This position also includes programming in C for microcontrollers.
- As some embedded devices have very limited resources you should be capable of coding http/cgi-bin interaction using 'C' and limited shell scripting.
