Engineering Technologies Canada Ltd. (ETC) has an immediate opening for a Civil or Environmental Engineer. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a significant level of responsibility and the opportunity for advancement you could only get in a smaller but fast-growing company.
Based out of Stratford, Prince Edward Island, (next to Charlottetown) you will work on projects throughout PEI and New Brunswick.
You will be involved in several exciting and rapidly developing fields of Environmental Engineering including:
- Innovative, attached-growth biofilter sewage treatment technologies utilizing sand, peat moss, absorbent foam or textile fabric.
- Appropriate and alternative sewer servicing options for urban-fringe and rural communities.
- Wastewater re-use through land-based disposal and irrigation systems.
The successful candidate should possess a degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering along with 3 - 5 years of experience in several of the following areas:
- On-site sewage treatment and disposal system assessment and design.
- Planning, design, and construction of municipal sewer services.
- Planning, design, and construction of municipal water services.
- Preparation of surface water management plans.
- Preparation of cost estimates.
- Environmental site assessments, site remediation.
- Subdivision development.
Experience with computerized assisted drafting software (eg. AutoCad, Microstation) and GIS application software would be an asset.
